I hope you had an amazing week start, mine started yesterday with a lot of blogging work and my first solo post on Nail Avengers. Today I'm here to show you a design with summery colours, I felt a little bit nostalgic because we're officially in autumn now!

¿Brillante verdad? Pues os aseguro que en persona habría que ponerse gafas, hahaha. Tanto el rosa neón con destellos azulados (AN28 Kapow!) como el verde (AN21 Twiggie) son de la colección Poptastic de Color Club y no es una colección apta para tímidas ;). Look how it shines! Believe me, you would had to put some sunglasses on because they are super neon. Para realizar la forma de las hojitas decidí estampar con esta plaquita que me mandaron de Born Pretty Store, es la BP-L015 y mirad que preciosidad de diseños. To make the leaves shapes I decided to stamp with this plate Born Pretty Store sent me, it's the BP-L015, look at those beautiful designs! I had some troubles with this stamping plate because I didn't manage to stamp anything, I'm a little bit new on the stamping world... But now I've discovered the proper way to stamp and soon you'll have another design more autumnal with this beautiful plate. Y así es como se ve el resultado final, unas hojas muy tropicales y poco comunes¿verdad?. Si cambiamos los colores del degradado por algunos más otoñales seguro que queda perfecto para la temporada pero a veces nos apetece algo un poco más vivo, los neones son siempre una opción haha.

And that's how the final design looks, a very unusual tropical leaves right? If you fancy some autumnal look with the same design you only have to change the colours of the gradient for some earthy shades and it will be perfect. But sometimes we like our bright nails, neons are always an option for that haha.

Did you think you could get out of my videogame nail arts? Hahaha, that's imposible :P. I'm a little bit late this month but as you saw on my Instagram I've been planning a new Game & Nails about a videogame that some of you have guessed: Kingdom Hearts.

La saga Kingdom Hearts surge de la colaboración de dos grandes compañías: Squaresoft (Actualmente conocida como Square Enix) y Disney. ¿Sabíais que estos juegos no habrían existido si no hubieran ocurrido las siguientes dos casualidades? Primero tenemos a Tetsuya Nomura (Uno de los desarrolladores de Square) que quería emular el éxito del videojuego Super Mario 64, creando un mundo 3D que se pudiera explorar.

El principal problema era que la compañía no disponía de una mascota lo suficiente popular para protagonizar el videojuego. Fue entonces cuando un encuentro fortuito con un ejecutivo de Disney y una charla sobre la idea que tenía, dieron paso al conocido videojuego, dónde podemos ver a Mickey Mouse como mascota.

The Kingdom Heart series arises from the colaboration of two big companies: Squaresoft (Known nowadays as Square Enix) and Disney. Did you know that the videogame series wouln't have existed if a serie of coincidences hadn't happened? First of all we have Tetsuya Nomura (One of Square's developers) who wanted to create a similar game like Super Mario 64, a 3D world that you can explore.
The main problem was that the company didn't have a well-known mascot to be the protagonist of their videogame. And then it happened: they had a meeting by chance with a Disney executive and a very long talk about the game idea they had. Finally, they agreed to develop the game together, in which Mickey Mouse is the mascot.

Pudimos disfrutar de dicha colaboración en 2002, con el primer Kingdom Hearts para la Play Station 2. Lo que hace que este juego sea único es la combinación entre los mundos y personajes tanto de Disney como de Final Fantasy.
Nuestra historia comienza con un joven llamado Sora, y está dispuesto a luchar contra la oscuridad con tal de salvar a sus amigos Riku y Kairi. Por otro lado, enviados desde el castillo Disney tenemos a Goofy, el capitán de la guardia real y Donald, el mago de la corte. Ambos se unirán a Sora para buscar al rey Mickey Mouse por los diferentes mundos. Un dato curioso es que todas las voces de Disney corresponden a sus dobladores originales de cada país, cosa que a mi al menos me hace muy feliz :).

We could enjoy the first Kingdom Hearts in 2002 released for the Play Station 2. What makes this game unique is the combination of the worlds and characters from Disney and Final Fantasy.
Our story begins with a young boy named Sora, he is willing to fight against darkness to save his friends Riku and Kairi. At the same time Goofy, the captain of the royal guard and Donald, the magician of the court were sent from the Disney Castle. They will join Sora in his quest to find king Mickey Mouse through the different worlds. A curious fact is that every single voice of each Disney character is the original one from each country, and this is a fact that makes me very happy :).

En este nail art he decidido representar elementos importantes para mí del primer videojuego. En el pulgar tenemos el logotipo simplificado de la saga, en el índice la fruta paopu que simboliza la amistad entre Sora y sus dos amigos, en el dedo corazón he dibujado la cara de nuestro protagonista, y en el anular y el meñique decidí pintar las armas de Goofy (el escudo), Donald (la bara con el sombrero) y Sora (la llave espada). Para todo ello he usado pinturas acrílicas y pinceles muy muy finitos.
La base del nail art es un degradado con el blanco "Kind of white" de Colour Alike y el azul "Route 66" de Color Club. Ambos esmaltes los podéis encontrar en ELYT, ya sabéis que tenéis un 10% de descuento con mi código WICKEDFULLMOON.

In this nail art I decided to draw representative elements to me from the first videogame. On the thumb we have a simplified logo of the saga, on the index we can see the paopu fruit which simbolises the friendship between Sora and his friends. On the middle finger I've drawn the face of our main character and on the ring and pinky fingers I decided to paint weapons of Goofy (the shield), Donald (the wand with the hat) and Sora (the keyblade). I've used acrylic paints and very thin brushes in order to paint them.
As a base for the nails I did a gradient with the white nail polish "Kind of white" from Colour Alike and the blue "Route 66" from Color Club. You can find both of them on ELYT store, as you already know you can use my code WICKEDFULLMOON for a 10% off your order.

Como siempre acabamos con una capa de top coat para sellar el nail art y, ¡ya estamos!. ¿Qué os ha parecido este nail art? La verdad es que han sido unas cuantas horas pero ha valido la pena :). ¿Habéis jugado alguna vez a Kingdom Hearts? ¡Me encantaría saberlo en los comentarios!.

¿Recordáis el nail art de la Bella y la Bestia? A muchos os gustó un montón e incluso propusisteis película para el siguiente Disney Nail Series, cosa que me hace mucha ilusión. A pesar de tener varias pensadas para este mes no pude resistirme cuando una gran amiga (@judyrox) me comentó la idea de hacer un nail art para esta película que, no es de Disney, pero si es animación.

Do you remember Beauty and the Beast nail art? Some of you liked it very much, even proposed films for then ext Disney Nail Series, and I felt very excited for it! I had some ideas for this month but I couldn't say no when my friend (@judyrox) told me to do a nail art of this movie, which isn't from Disney but it's an animation film.
Did you watch the Book of Life?

El libro de la vida es una película animada en 3d, una comedia romántica y de aventuras que se basa en el Día de los Muertos mexicano. En toda la película podemos ver un triángulo amoroso entre Manolo, Joaquín y María, desde sus infancias hasta que se vuelven adultos. En la celebración del Día de los Muertos aparecen los espíritus de la Catrina, que gobierna la tierra de los Recordados, y Xibalba, que gobierna la tierra de los Olvidados.

The Book of Life is a 3D animation movie, a romantic and adventure comedy that bases it's story in the mexican Day of the Deads. We can see through the movie a love triangle between Manolo, Joaquín and María, since they're just kids until they're grown ups. When the celebration of the Day of the Deads arrives the spirits of La Muerte, ruler of the land of the Remembered, and Xibalba, ruler of the land of the Forgotten, appear.

Ambos observan a los tres niños jugar y deciden hacer una apuesta: Catrina apuesta que si María se queda con Manolo Xibalba dejará de meterse con el mundo humano, mientras que Xibalba apuesta que si María se queda con Joaquín intercambiarán sus reinos.
¿No os parece interesante? ¡Yo os animo a descubrir que pasa después! No os va a defraudar ya que es una película llena de color, de escenas hermosas y de mucha magia, te acabas encariñando de todos los personajes y no podrás evitar reírte ;).

Both of them watch the three kids playing and they decide to do a bet: La Muerte bets that Manolo will marry María, but Xibalba bets that Joaquín will marry her. If La Muerte wins, Xilbalba has to stop messing around with the mortals. But if Xibalba wins, he and La Muerte would had to switch realms.
Don't you think it sounds super interesting? You have to watch the film if you don't already have! You won't be dissapointed, it's a movie full of colour, beautiful scenes and lots of magic moments, the characters ara adorable and I'm sure you will laugh a lot ;).

Para este nail art he querido usar un esmalte muy especial, es un verde metalizado con shimmer holográfico precioso que ya os enseñaba en esta entrada. Pertenece a la colección PZN de Colour Alike y es el número 496. Con una sola capa obtenemos el color que veis en las fotos, ¿no es precioso? Pues lo tenéis ya en la tienda de ELYT, y con mi código WICKEDFULLMOON os saldrán aún más económicos ♥. Encima de esto dibujé en el pulgar el corazón con el título de la película que vemos en la portada de la misma, y tras varios intentos fallidos, decidí dibujar a los tres protagonistas con pinturas acrílicas. For the nail art I've used a very special nail polish, a beautiful metallic green with holo shimmer that I've shown you before on this post. It belongs to the PZN collection from Colour Alike and it's the number 496. With only one coat we have the colour you can see on the photo, amazing, don't you think? You can find it on ELYT store, and with my code WICKEDFULLMOON they will cost you even cheaper ♥. I drawed on my thumb the heart and the title you can see on the cover of the film, and after trying super hard, I drawed the three main characters with acrylic paints. From left to right we have Joaquín, María and Manolo.

Ya habréis visto por las redes sociales y en algunos posts del blog (aquí y aquí) que me he puesto las pilas con una técnica que todas conoceréis: la estampación o stamping. Y es que desde ELYT me enviaron plaquitas, esmaltes y otras herramientas para estampar y necesitaba darles uso. Con ayuda de Laura conseguí estampar dentro de lo pasable haha, y ahora os vengo a enseñar esta colección tan bonita y otoñal de esmaltes de estampación de Colour Alike.

Hi everyone!

As you would already have seen on my social media or some blog posts (here and here) I've been practising a little bit with a technique you'll know: stamping. Since ELYT sent me some stamping plates, polishes and other tools, I knew I needed to learn how to stamp properly. So with the help of my friend Laura I managed to stamp as good as I can and now I'm here to show you this beautiful autumnal collection of stamping nail polishes from Colour Alike.

La colección Let's Fall in Love está formada por estos seis esmaltes, a cada cual más bonito. Todos tienen una textura espesa y cubriente que los hace perfectos para estampar, y además todos tienen un acabado metalizado y con shimmer que los hace super brillantes. Para mostraros mejor los esmaltes y su pigmentación he hecho swatches tanto en blanco como en negro, los he juntado en una misma manicura para que podáis verlo en conjunto. ¡Vamos con los tres primeros!

The Let's Fall in Love collection is form of this six nail polishes, each one more beautiful than the next. All of them have a thick consistency and a lot of coverage, two things that makes them perfect for stamping. Their finish is metallic and they have lots of shimmer that makes them super bright and shinny. In order to show you better the polishes and their pigmentation I did some swatches over black and white, and put them together in the same mani, this way you can see them as a whole. Let's go with the first three!

Para cada esmalte decidí estampar un diseño diferente, así no se haría tan aburrido ver tan solo el color cambiando, los nail arts quedan diferentes y quieras o no se hace más entretenido :).

Rain Drop: azul cielo metalizado con mucho shimmer plateado, es una preciosidad y brilla muchísimo.
Fairy Forest: verde medio metalizado con shimmer, el nombre es perfecto porque recuerda totalmente a un bosque.
Lilac Sweater: lila metalizado con shimmer, es un tono frío pero precioso para la estación e igual de brillante que los demás.

For each one of the nail polishes I stamped a different design, I thought this way it wouldn't be as boring as if it was only the colour changing on every photo. They look different and they were much funnier to do :).

Rain Drop: a metallic sky blue with a lot of silver shimmer, it's gorgeous and it shines a lot.
Fairy Forest: a medium metallic green with the same shimmer, the name is perfect because I think it totally reminds of a forest.
Lilac Sweater: a metallic lilac with shimmer, its a cool tone which it's perfect for the season and it shines a lot.

Los tres siguientes fueron un poco más complicados para mí, no porque estamparan mal, si no porque los diseños que había escogido para estos colores eran algo más complicados y yo, para seros sincera, todavía soy algo novata con las estampaciones. ¡Estoy super contenta aún y así con los resultados!

Scary Pumpkin: un naranja oscuro metalizado con shimmer que tiene totalmente el tono de una calabaza, es precioso y creo que para Halloween se le podría dar mucho uso ;).
Red Wine: rojo metalizado con un ligero shimmer rosado, precioso y combina perfectamente con el anterior. ¿No os imagináis un bosque de otoño?
Twilight: gris oscuro metalizado con un montón de shimmer plateado, el color me fascina, pero si es verdad que cuesta un poco más de ver sobre negro, aun que el efecto queda super elegante, ¿verdad?

The next three were a little more challenging to me, not because they didn't stamp okay, but because I've chosen some tricky designs and I've to be honest with you, I'm a little bit newbie stamping. I'm very happy with the results after all the hard work!

Scary Pumpkin: a metallic dark orange with shimmer, it has the perfect shade for a pumpkin and it's beautiful, I can see myself wearing this one for a Halloween design ;).
Red Wine: a metallic red with a light pink shimmer, it's lovely and it match perfectly with the orange, don't you imagine an autumnal forest?
Twilight: metallic dark grey with a lot of silver shimmer in it, I love this colour, but it doesn't show as much as I would like over black. Despite that I think it looks super elegant, right?

Por último os dejo esta foto con todos los swatches, para que los podáis ver en conjunto. ¿Cual es vuestro favorito? Yo creo que sin duda alguna me quedo con Rain Drop y Scary Pumpkin, aun que todos valen muchísimo la pena si os gusta estampar en diferentes colores. I'm back again this week haha, did you see my witch nails yesterday on Nail Avengers? We joined the Halloween 2015 challenge, so we're going to do halloween themed nail art all october, don't miss any of our ideas! As I said you last week, I'm here today to show you a nail art done with the stamping technique, would you like to see it?

¿No os parece otoñal este diseño tan sencillo? Con un solo esmalte oscuro y un diseño estampado tenemos un resultado que desde mi punto de vista es super elegante. Claro que le debemos ese punto de elegancia también al esmalte dorado y diréis: ¡si ese no estaba en la colección Let's Fall in Love!. Efectivamente, pertenece a un dúo de esmaltes para estampar que os enseñaré en cuanto pueda ;).

Don't you think that this design is super simple and autumnal? Only with a dark nail polish and a stamping design you can get a super elegant look. Of course you have to add that the gold nail polish is super beautiful, and you'll think: that nail polish wasn't on the Let's Fall in Love collection! And no, it doesn't belong to that collection, is from a duo of stamping nail polishes I'll show you as soon as I can ;)

Todo lo que necesitamos para este diseño es un esmalte negro cubriente, en mi caso he usado el Kind of black de Colour Alike, casi perfecto en una capa, pero para asegurarnos de su opacidad mejor damos dos. También necesitaremos una plaquita de estampar con un diseño que nos guste, en mi caso he usado la que me enviaron desde Born Pretty Store: BP-L015 que os enseñé aquí. Tiene diseños florales y este árbol me había llamado la atención desde que la tuve. All you need for this design is a black nail polish with a lot of coverage, I've used Kind of black from Colour Alike, it's almost opaque in one coat, but I always apply two coats. We'll also need a stamping plate with a design we like, I've used the one that Born Pretty Store sent me, the BP-L015 that you have already seen here. It has some floral designs and I wanted to do a nail art with this tree since I saw it. If you like its designs you can find it here, with my code LAAG10 you'll get a 10% off your order :).

Para acabar con el nail art estampamos el diseño escogido y damos una capa de top coat mate. Negro, dorado y acabado mate son tres cosas que me fascinan juntas, quedan genial y sofisticadas. ¿No os parece? Siiii, se que dije que esta entrada estaría ayer viernes, pero entre una cosa y la otra no pude acabarla y no pude hacer "la cosa extra" que quería incluir. Y es que tenía muchas ganas de hacer un tutorial con este diseño, os dije que iba a investigar grabar con la nueva cámara pero aún no he podido, así que es calidad móvil todavía. Yeees, I know I said that this post was meant to be for yesterday but for one thing and another I couldn't finish "the extra thing" I wanted to do. I fancied to do a tutorial with this design, and even though I said I was going to figure out how to record with the new camera.. I didn't have the time, so it will be phone quality. ¿Colores perfectos para esta estación verdad? Desde ELYT me enviaron un montón de vinilos nuevos que habían sacado, de entre ellos están los de forma de rosa que os enseñé en Nail Avengers. Hay un montón de diseños diferentes pero este me encantó nada más verlo, se llama Mixed drops y como su nombre indica son unas gotitas de varios tamaños que crean un patrón.

Perfect colours for this season, right? ELYT sent me lots of new vinyls they created, I've shown you before the roses shaped one on Nail Avengers's blog. There's a lot of different designs but I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it. It's called Mixed drops, as it's name say you can see lots different sized drops that together create a pattern.

He usado el precioso rojo con shimmer naranja que os enseñaba aquí, pertenece a la colección PZN de Colour Alike y es el número 499. Para el otoño es una maravilla llevarlo :). Para el degradado he puesto uno de mis amarillos favoritos: 28 Hello sunshine de Essence, cubre un montón y es super amarillo, junto al rojo que os he mencionado anteriormente. Y finalmente para la base he usado mi blanco preferido del momento: Kind of white de Colour Alike también.

The yellow of the gradient is one of my favourite yellows: 28 Hello sunshine from Essence, it has a lot of coverage and it's super yellow! Finally the base over the vinyl is my favourite white of the moment: Kind of white from Colour Alike.

Y para saber cómo lo he realizado paso por paso os dejo el vídeo junto a la última foto. Un truqui para que el vinilo no se os lleve la base, poned top coat y dejar secarlo muy bien antes de poner el vinilo sobre la uña.

And here you have the video tutorial and the last photo. If I have to give you a tip with the vinyls is the following: use a top coat (and let it dry completely) before you put the vinyl over the nail, this way you can avoid the vinyl from pulling away your base.

La colección está formada de estos cuatro esmaltes, cada uno de ellos más precioso que el anterior. Suntuosa, Regia, Prestigiosa y Celestial son los nombres que han escogido para estos esmaltes que a mi me recuerdan un montón al espacio y a las estrellas, el nombre de la colección les viene perfecto. Todos ellos son muy elegantes y sutiles si los usamos solos, pero darán un toque precioso a cualquier esmalte que pongamos debajo. ¿Vamos a verlos uno a uno?

The collection is make up of this four nail polishes, each one of them more beautiful than the last. Suntuosa, Regia, Prestigiosa and Celestial are the names that they've chosen for the nail polishes, they remind me a lot of the space and the stars so, perfect name for the collection! They are very elegant and subtle for their own, but they will give a beautiful look over any nail polish we want to use. Let's see them one by one?

Suntuosa es una esmalte nego con muchas partículas de glitter plateado de diferentes tamaños y con cierta textura arenosa que después queda al secarse. Es perfecto para simular una galaxia y usé dos capas bastante densas para conseguir la cobertura que veis en la foto.

Suntuosa is a black nail polish with a lot of different sized glitters in it, it also has a certain texture that when it's dry you can feel to the touch. Is a perfect choice if you want to do a galaxy nails, and I applied two thick coats to get the coverage you can see in the photo.

Regia es un esmalte muy especial, es un tono rosa palo con muchos destellos dorados y pequeños glitters rojizos o frambuesas. Apliqué dos capas para que se viese como en la foto, no es un esmalte muy cubriente pero el efecto que deja en las uñas es super fino y estoy segura que sobre un esmalte rosa o blanco debe quedar muy elegante también.

Regia is a very special nail polish, is a light pink shade with lots of golden reflections and little red glitters. I applied two coats to make it look like you can see in the photo. It's not a nail polish with a high coverage, but the effect that gives to the nails is super elegant, and I'm sure that over a pink or white nail polish would look amazing.

Prestigiosa se parece mucho en cuanto a cobertura y fórmula al anterior. Es un esmalte plateado con glitter plateado y glitter holográfico precioso, además tiene el mismo destello dorado y lo hace super brillante. Apliqué dos capas y ocurre como en el anterior, no es un esmalte de gran cobertura, pero queda muy elegante.

Prestigiosa is a lot like the last polish, coverage and formula-like. It's a silver nail polish with silver glitter and holo glitter, beautiful. It also has the same golden reflections that makes it super shiny. I applied two coats and like the previous one, it's not a super high coverage but it looks elegant and chic.

Por último tenemos a Celestial, un esmalte de base azulada con destellos dorados y glitters de diferentes tamaños y dos azules diferentes. Es de mis favoritos de la colección por lo único que es y lo bonito que queda en las uñas, ¿os lo imagináis con una base azul?. De nuevo apliqué dos capas en la foto y su cobertura se parece a los anteriores.

Last but not least we have Celestial, a blue nail polish with lots of golden reflections and different sized glitters in two different blues. It's one of my favourites from the collection because it's unique and it looks super beautiful on the nails, can you imagine it with a blue base?. I applied two coats again this time, and the coverage is like the previous ones.

Finalmente os dejo esta fotito para que veáis la colección en conjunto. A mi me ha encantado, se que no son esmaltes para todos los gustos, pero vivo enamorada de los esmaltes especiales y estos lo son mucho. En mi opinión tienen una buena fórmula, y la cobertura deja mucha libertad para combinarlos con diferentes bases, aun que a mi me encantan solos ;).

Finally here you have a photo of the whole collection. I love them, I know maybe they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely love special nail polishes, and these are super special. In my opinion they have good formula and the coverage gives a lot of freedom to play with different colours as a base, even though I like them on their own. ;)

Do you remember the stamping nail polishes I've recently shown you from Colour Alike? The brand has also launched a pair of nail polishes that are also for stamping. They sent me this little collection from ELYT and I had the chance to try them and giving here my opinion. Yes, one of them was used for the Black Autumn nail art ;).

Estos dos preciosos esmaltes forman el dúo llamado King and Queen de Colour Alike. Como veis han seleccionado muy bien el nombre de la colección porque son colores propios de la realeza, un precioso plateado y un dorado muy brillante. Pero como más se lucen es viéndolos estampados sobre las uñas, así que vamos allá.

This two beautiful nail polishes are part of the mini collection called King and Queen from Colour Alike. As you can see they choosed a perfect name for the collection because these are colours typical from the royalty: a beautiful silver and a very bright gold. But you have to see them stamped on the nails to observe how gorgeous they are, so let's go.

Como hice con los anteriores swatches de esmaltes para estampar, los he usado sobre blanco y negro para que veáis su cobertura. Silver King es el nombre de este plateado, y cómo veis ha estampado perfectamente sobre blanco y negro. Luce muchísimo sobre negro y da un toque sutil pero delicado sobre blanco.

Like I did on the previous stamping nail polishes, I used them over black and white, this way you can see their coverage. Silver King is the name of this silver nail polish, and as you can observe it stamped beautifully over white and black. It stands out over black but it gives a subtle touch over white.

Golden Queen es este precioso y brillante dorado. Como el anterior estampa perfecto sobre blanco y negro, los dos son espesitos lo que hace que estampar sea muy fácil con ellos. Me encanta este dorado porque se ve super elegante sobre blanco y sobre negro.

En conjunto me parecen unos esmaltes básicos para las amantes de la estampación, todas necesitamos un plateado y dorado que nos aseguren una cobertura buena, estos dos son muy buenas opciones. Golden Queen is a beautiful and shiny gold nail polish. Like the one before it stamps perfect over black and white, they have a thick formula that makes very easy to stamp with them. I love this shade because it looks super elegant over black and white.

In my opinion these are two basic nail polishes that every lover of stamping nail art should have, we all need a silver and a gold with a good coverage and these two are very recommendable. It's time for another Game & Nails, a blog section that some of you like very much, and I personally love. For those of you who don't know, I usually do those nail arts with my boyfriend and this game is very special for him, so I'm gonna let him speak today :P.

En Octubre de 1990 apareció el videojuego que cambió mi vida, estoy hablando de The Secret of Monkey Island™: Una aventura gráfica creada por Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer y Dave Grossman para LucasArts. Dicho juego se creó a partir de la tecnología SCUMM, un motor gráfico propiedad de LucaArts que ya habían usado para otros de sus videojuegos. Monkey Island™ fue lanzado para varias plataformas, yo pude disfrutar de su versión en MS-DOS en pc, con los ya olvidados disquetes.

In October of 1990 the videogame that changed my life appeared, I’m talking about The Secret of Monkey Island™: A point and click adventure created by Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman for LucasArts. This game was built on the SCUMM technology, a video game engine developed by Lucasarts wich they have already used in previous games. Monkey Island™ was launched on different platforms, I remember playing it on a MS-DOS pc, using floppy disks to play it.

La inspiración para crear el videojuego la encontramos en Disneyworld, allí se encuentra el mundo de Piratas del caribe (Por aquel entonces la atracción de Piratas del caribe era una montaña rusa, relación 0 con la película que todos conocemos). En la actualidad Monkey Island™ es una saga muy querida por sus fans, los cuales han creado obras de teatro y representado su banda sonora a orquestra. En 2010 para conmemorar el 20 aniversario se lanzó una edición especial y mejorada, que a su vez incluye el juego original.

They found the inspiration for making the videogame at Disneyworld, where we can find the world of Pirates of the Caribbean (Back then it was only a rollercoaster, which had no relation at all with the movie we all know). Nowadays, Monkey Island™ is a beloved saga by its fans, for example they have created a stage play and even played its OST on orchestra.

En Monkey Island™ nos ponemos en la piel de Guybrush Threepwood, un joven que acaba desembarcar en Mêlée Island™ con el deseo de convertirse en ~~bombero~~ pirata. Para llevar a cabo tal cometido deberá superar tres pruebas impuestas por los Piratas Jefe. Guybrush deberá:

Dominar el arte de la espada, venciendo a la Swordmaster™.
Demostrar su valía en arte del saqueo, robando un ídolo a la mismísima Gobernadora de Mêlée Island™, Elaine Marley.
Recorrer medio Mêlée Island™ para formarse en el arte de encontrar tesoros enterrados y encontrar esta estúpida camiseta.

In Monkey Island™ we play as Guybrush Treepwood, a young boy who just disembarked at Mêlée Island™ with the aim of becoming a ~~firefighter~~ pirate. To become one he has to do three task imposed by the Very Important Pirate Leaders. Guybruysh should:

Master the art of fencing, beating the Swordmaster™
Prove his value in the art of looting, by stealing the idol from the Mêlée Island Governor, Elaine Marley.
Traverse trough Mêlée Island™ to master the art of finding buried treasures and find this stupid T-shirt.

Mientras trata de convertirse en pirata no dejará de escuchar los rumores sobre una misteriosa isla llamada Monkey Island™, donde el archiconocido y temido Pirata Fantasma LeChuck tiene su guarida. Para tratar de disuadir a nuestro joven pirata, LeChuck secuestrará a su nuevo amor, la Gobernadora Elaine y Guybrush emprenderá un disparatado viaje para salvarla.

During his journey of becoming a pirate he can’t stop listening to the rumours about a mysterious island named Monkey Island™, where the feared and well known Ghost Pirate LeChuck has his hideout. To discourage our young pirate, LeChuck kidnaps his new love: Governor Elaine, and Guybrush will set out on an insane journey to rescue her.

Para este nail art he usado esta base azul que ya me habéis visto usar para otros diseños a mano alzada, como el de la Bella y la Bestia. Es el 495 de la colección PZN de Colour Alike y es simplemente perfecto para imitar una noche estrellada. Lo podéis encontrar junto al resto de la colección en ELYT, si usáis mi código WICKEDFULLMOON os harán un 10% en cualquier compra ;). El resto está pintado con pinturas acrílicas, pinceles finitos, paciencia y tiempo. Decidí representar al famoso mono de tres cabezas, a Guybrush luchando contra un pirata para dominar el arte de la espada y finalmente un pollo de goma con una polea en medio.
¿Qué son todas estas cosas? Me parece que para descubrirlo tendréis que animaros a jugarlo. ¿Os ha gustado el nail art? ¿Habéis jugado a Monkey Island?

For this nail art I've used this blue base that you've already seen on other of my freehand designs, such as the one of the Beauty and the Beast. It's the 495 of the PZN collection from Colour Alike and it's perfect when you want your nails to look like a starry night. The rest of the nail art is made with acrylic paints, thin brushes, patience and time. How are you? I had a couple of crazy days but I'm very happy. Today I'm here to show you some swatches. As you may know I've been collaborating with Deborah Milano for a while, in the last package they sent me the new care line that I'll show you very soon and these three nail polishes that are new on their 7days long range.

Estas tres joyitas rosas son las nuevas incorporaciones a la gama 7days Long, que si os soy sincera es mi gama favorita de sus esmaltes. A pesar de ser tres rosas cada uno de ellos es especial y único, pero sobretodo son super femeninos y favorecedores. Pronto veréis nail arts que voy a hacer con ellos, pero de momento os dejo con los swatches individuales ;).

These three pink jewels are the new incorporations to the 7days Long range, and this range it's my favourite from them. Even though the three are pinks, each one of them is special, unique and super femenine. I'll be doing some nail art with them very soon, but for now you have the individual swatches ;).

Este delicado rosa bebé es el número 820 de los 7days Long, en la foto se ve un pelín más rosado, en persona es algo más blanquecino. Uno de esos tonos que no son blancos pero que lo parecen, muy elegante y tan solo he necesitado dos capas para una cobertura perfecta, cosa que a veces con los tonos más blanquecinos o pasteles cuesta más.

This delicate baby pink is the number 820 from the 7days Long, in the photo it's a little bit more pink, in real life it's shade is more white. It's one of that shades that look like white but they're not. super elegant and I've only needed two coats for a perfect coverage. This is important because sometimes with the lightest shades it's difficult to get an opaque shade.

Para mí este es el tono más especial de los tres rosas, es el número 821 y es un color entre el rosa y el lila precioso. Lo especial que tiene también es que es bastante pálido y le da al color un toque super elegante y sutil, de verdad, la foto no hace justicia a lo bonito que es este tono. He aplicado dos capas para una cobertura total.

This shade is the most special one to me, it's the number 821 and it's a beautiful colour between pink and lilac. The special thing about the shade it's that is pretty pale and it gives a super elegant and suble look, I'm telling you that the picture don't makes justice to how pretty it really is. I applied two coats for a full coverage.

El tono más brillante de los nuevos esmaltes es el 822, un rosa chicle perfecto. En esta foto no se puede apreciar bien el tono, pero en la conjunta podéis ver lo chicloso que es ;). Super bonito para una manicura bien femenina y dulce, parece un caramelo de fresa y en dos capas queda absolutamente perfecto.

This one is the shiniest of the three new nail polishes, is the number 822, a perfect bubblegum shade. You can't appreciate very well the shade on this picture, but if you go up to look at the nail polish bottle you could see how "bubblegummy" it is ;). Super pretty for a girly and sweet nail art, it looks like a strawberry candy, and in two coats it's fully opaque.

Para acabar os dejo una foto conjunta para que veáis los tres tonos juntitos. Como os he dicho en general me gusta bastante la fórmula de los 7days Long, nunca he tenido que dar más de dos capas para obtener el color deseado y duran un montón en las uñas, ¡comprobado! ♥. When Laura from Sweetfactionails and I recieved the new collaboration with Deborah Milano we couldn't resist doing a nail art together. The three new shades of the 7days Long range are perfect for her, she does super cute nail designs and I knew that any design she will think of would be beautiful. We decided to do this sweet design that you may have seen on Instagram.

¿A que son mega adorables? Nos inspiramos en un estampado de calaveras en tonos rosas y en este panda que podéis ver en el collage. Decidimos hacer un estampado de corazones y unos cuantos panditas cuquis. Ahora os cuento más.

Don't you think they're adorable? We got our inspiration from a pattern we found on internet of pink skulls and from this panda you can see on the collage. We decided to do a pattern of hearts and some little cute pandas on it. Let me tell you more about the design.

La idea era usar los tres esmaltes nuevos de Deborah Milano, pero finalmente tan solo usamos el 822 (rosa chicle) para la base de todo el nail art y el 820 (rosa palo) para algunos corazones del estampado. En mi caso también usé Kind of black para los corazones negros y Kind of white para la forma ovalada de las caritas de los pandas. Ambos son de Colour Alike y los podéis encontrar en ELYT, con mi código WICKEDFULLMOON os harán un 10% de descuento en todas vuestras compras.

The main idea was to use the new nail polishes from Deborah Milano, finally we used the 822 (bubblegum pink) as a base for the nail art and the 820 (pale pink) for some of the hearts. In my case I've also used Kind of black for the black hearts and Kind of white for the panda's faces. Both of them are from Colour Alike and you can find them on ELYT, using my code WICKEDFULLMOON you'll get a 10% off any of your purchases.

Para los detalles de los pandas he usado pintura acrílica con una brocha finita, se pueden hacer perfectamente con esmaltes cómo Laura los hizo, pero yo me siento más cómoda con los acrílicos, ya lo sabéis. Finalmente, Laura quiso añadirle un toque extra al nail art y cómo sabréis si la seguís, ella es la reina de las decoración 3D. Así que le añadimos brillantes alrededor de la cutícula de una de las uñas, ¡queda perfecto!

For the details of the pandas I've used acrylic paints with a thin brush, you could do it perfectly with nail polishes like Laura did, but I feel more comfortable with acrylics, you already know that. Finally Laura wanted to add an extra thing to the nail art, as you may know if you follow her, she's the 3D queen. So we add some rhinestones round the cuticle of one nail, it looks amazing!

Recientemente sacaron sus novedades para esta temporada de otoño e invierno y como colaboración, me enviaron unos cuantos esmaltes para enseñaros. A mi me han resultado super interesantes, ¿queréis ver unos swatches?

There's a lot of nail polishes brands that I've listened of a thousand times (and I saw two hundred swatches online) but I hadn't the opportunity to try, one of them was Isadora. Recently they launched some new polishes for this season autumn and winter, and as a collaboration they sent me some of them to try and show to you. I found them super interesting, would you like to see some swatches?

Para este otoño/invierno Isadora apuesta sobre dos de sus gamas: Velvet matt y Gel, con colores preciosos muy propios de la época. La gama Velvet matt consta de 6 esmaltes de acabado entre mate y satinado preciosos, todos ellos tienen un brillo especial y son únicos. Yo puedo enseñaros los dos tonos que veis en la foto. En cuanto a los nuevos tonos de los esmaltes Gel han sacado 10 preciosos esmaltes cremosos de los cuales os puedo enseñar tres, acompañados de su top coat gel. ¿Vamos a ver los swatches individuales?

For this autumn and winter Isadora bets on two of their ranges: the Velvet matt and the Gel one, with beautiful colours perfect for the season. On the Velvet matt range we have 6 polishes with a very unique finish between matt and satin, all of them have a gorgeous shimmer. I will show you the two you can see on the photo. On the Gel nail polishes they released 10 new creamy shades of which I can show you three, with their gel top coat on. Let's see individual swatches!

Primero los dos de acabado velvet, como veis el efecto es precioso y con solo dos capas cubren perfectamente toda la uña. Un punto a favor es que podremos ponerle top coat normal y quedarán también preciosos, los dos que me dieron a probar a mi fueron:

820 Soft Skin:un nude amarronado precioso y super elegante, lo único malo que le veo a este esmalte es que me marca las estrías de las uñas, pero tiene fácil solución con una base alisadora ;).
824 Vintage Wine: mi favoritísimo, es un tono vino super oscuro con un montón de destellos rojizos que podéis apreciar en la foto. Con el tema de las estrías me pasa parecido, pero este noto que las marca algo menos.

We begin with the two velvet ones, as you can see the effect they have is super beautiful and with two coats they have a perfect coverage. A very positive thing about them is that you can already use them with a regular glossy top coat and they will look amazing too. The two I've tried are:

820 Soft Skin: an earthy nude super elegant and gorgeous, the only bad thing I can say about this polishes is that it shows the stretch marks of my nails, but I think you can solve this issue with a smoothing base coat ;).
824 Vintage Wine: my favourite of the two, a dark wine shade with lots of red shimmer as you can see on the picture. It happens more or less the same with the stretch marks, but with this shade they're less noticeable.

Sus esmaltes Gel tienen una fórmula espectacular y cremosa, dos capas para una cobertura perfecta y tengo que decir que sus brochas ayudan mucho. Los anteriores también tienen la misma brocha y es ancha y comodísima. Brillan por si solos pero si les añades el top coat el brillo dura días y días, intactas 4 días porque necesitaba hacer otro diseño haha. Los tonos que he probado son:

244 Red Spell: Un rojo ligeramente anaranjado perfecto y básico en toda colección de esmaltes haha, con dos capas queda genial pero una tercera no le habría venido mal.
246 Lovely Lilac: un tono malva super suave y cálido, deja unas uñas muy delicadas y me parece super femenino.
250 Liquorice: gris oscurísimo frío que necesitáis ya. Es precioso, casi negro y mega elegante, además tiene unos reflejitos de shimmer azul que lo hace único.

Their Gel nail polishes have a fantastic formula, super creamy, two coats for the perfect coverage and I have to mention their brushes because they help a lot. The velvet ones also have the same brush and they're wide and easy to use. The polishes shine for themselves but if you add their top coat the shine last days and days, I had one colour for 4 days and it was as perfect as the first day. The shades I had the opportunity to try are:

244 Red Spell: an orange red, perfect and basic in everyone's nail polish collection, you can wear it with two coats but a third will help to its opacity.
246 Lovely Lilac: a warm and soft mauve shade, the nails look very delicate and It's super femenine.
250 Liquorice: very very dark and cold grey that you need right know. It's gorgeous, almost black and elegant. It also has a very light blue shimmer that makes it unique.

Finalmente os dejo una foto conjunta de todos los tonos, ¿qué os han parecido? ¿Os parecen adecuados para esta época? Mis favoritos son los dos oscuros, preciosos y únicos. ¡Espero que os hayan gustado los swatches y os haya sido útil mi opinión! Nos vemos el martes con un nuevo nail art :)

How is your week going? I hope you didn't miss yesterday's nail art on Nail Avengers, it has a common element with the one that I'm going to show you today ;). Today's nail design is super easy, but as you will see, sometimes we don't need lots of things to do a pretty nail art.

Hoy tenemos dos protagonistas, y el primero lo estáis viendo en esta foto y ya lo pudisteis ver en los swatches que os enseñé de la colección Sideral de Masglo. Además de los swatches de los esmaltes, me gusta hacer un nail art con cada uno de ellos para ver qué potencial puedo sacarles y el primero que se me vino a la cabeza fue este precioso tono: Celestial.

Today we have two main focus on this nail art, you can already see the first one on the picture, and you have seen this polish when I showed you the Sideral collection from Masglo. I like to do, besides the swatches, a nail art with each one of the nail polishes, that way I can see the possibilities the polish has. The first one to came to mind was this beautiful shade: Celestial.

El segundo protagonista cómo podréis imaginar son las plumas que decidí estampar sobre este esmalte de glitter azulado tan especial. Para ello usé la placa que podéis ver en la foto llamada DER-19, que tiene una temática angelical y un poco romántica ;). Me pareció ideal con el nombre Celestial, así que con el esmalte blanco de estampar de ELYT, un raspador y el sello de estampar fuí pasando el diseño de plumas que veis a la derecha a mis uñas. The second main focus as you could guess are the feathers I decided to stamp over the special blue glitter nail polish. For that I used the stamping plate you can see on the photo, it's name is DER-19 and it is a angelical and romantic themed plate ;). It is a very subtle design but it has a magical look, don't you think? As I told you in the last blog post Deborah Milano, besides launching three new shades of nail polish for this season that you can watch here, launched a care collection for our hands and nails. It's a super complete range of products, it goes from removing the nail polish to moisturize our nails. La línea de cuidado la componen dos bases de uñas con diferentes propósitos, un aceite de cutículas trifásico, una crema hidratante de manos y un quita esmalte sin acetona. Algunos de estos productos son de edición limitada, por lo que si al final os acaban gustando yo me aseguraría de buscarlos haha ;). Vamos a ver la primera de las bases, la alisadora.

On this care collection we can find two different base coats with different purposes, a triphasic cuticle oil, a hydrating hand cream and a nail polish remover acetone free. Some of these products are limited edition, so If you find that you like some of them try to purchase them as soon as possible ;). Let's see the first of the base coats, the smoothing base.

Esta base alisadora le va perfectísima a mis uñas. Os he querido mostrar el proceso desde las uñas desnudas hasta la segunda capa del producto, así veréis mejor la diferencia que hacen estas bases. Tal y como podéis ver en la primera foto, mis uñas están algo estriadas, siempre han sido así y no me gusta pasarles el pulidor demasiado ya que me hace las uñas más débiles. Una base alisadora va genial en estos casos.
A pesar de que en la primera capa no se pueda observar visualmente, al tacto se notan mucho más uniformes y lisas, perfectas para hacer nail art encima. También podemos optar por una segunda capa para una protección extra y para un resultado perfecto. La base alisadora de Deborah Milano tiene un tono beis rosado que queda super natural y viste muchísimo nuestras uñas, yo la he estado llevando con dos capas a las prácticas y se ven las manos super cuidadas, ¿no os parece?

This smoothing base it's perfect for my nails. I wanted to show you the process from my naked nails to the second coat of the product, this way you can see better how it works and the difference it makes. As you can already see on the first picture, my nails have stretch marks, they always had and I don't like very much to smooth them with a polisher because it makes my nails weaker. A smoothing base is a good solution in my case.
Even tough you can see the results visually on the first coat, if you could touch my nails you will notice that they're more even and smooth. We can also add a second coat for an extra protection and a beautiful look. The smoothing base from Deborah Milano has a beige colour that looks super natural and dresses up our nails. I've been wearing two coats to my internship and my hands look super healthy and beautiful, don't you think?

Un problema frecuente que nos pasa a las que nos pintamos las uñas a menudo es que suelen amarillearse (y si además el esmalte tiñe la uña, ya se quedan multicolor, haha). A pesar de que un buen base coat puede ahorrarnos muchos disgustos, nos sigue ocurriendo y a mi me ocurre también. Cómo veis en la primera foto, mis uñas no están super amarillas, pero estoy segura que usando bases blanqueadoras o dejándolas de pintar durante bastante tiempo se quedarían mucho más blancas haha.
La segunda opción no es posible para una adicta a los esmaltes como yo, sé que a muchas de vosotras os pasa igual ;), así que esta base es de ayuda tanto para ponerla bajo del nail art cómo para llevarla sola. Con la segunda capa pasa tal y como os conté con la base anterior, da un aspecto super elegante y de manos y uñas cuidadas. La principal característica de esta base es que su color es blanquecino y tiene unas partículas muy finas de shimmer azul que potencian mucho más el blanco y contrarrestan el amarillo.

There's a problem that happens to all of us that paint our nails habitually, they start to get that yellow colour that we all hate (and if the nail polish tints the nail, they probably look like a rainbow, haha). Using a base coat it's super important because it prevents that, but sometimes it's not enough and it happens. As you can see on the picture my nails aren't super yellow, but I'm sure that if I used whitening bases or I stop painting them, they'll be whiter.
The second option is not possible for some polish addicts like me (I know some of you feel the same, haha), so a base like this one is super helpful to wear ir under the nail art or on its own. When you apply a second coat it happens like the previous base, it gives your nails a super elegant and care look. The main characteristic of this base is that it has a white colour, it also has a very thin blue shimmer that makes the white pop out and your nails look more whiter, because it counteract the yellow.

El producto más curioso de la colección y también el que más me ha gustado es este aceite de cutículas trifásico. Se pueden observar en el bote los tres aceites separados, pero para aplicarlo deberemos mover bien el bote y hacer que se junten, quedará como en la parte derecha de la foto. Este aceite hidrata, nutre y refuerza nuestras uñas y se aconseja aplicar por las noches o antes de una manicura. La verdad es que yo lo uso cuando me noto la zona más seca y me deja las uñas y cutículas super hidratadas, además huele... ¡Que seguro que más de una quiere bebérselo!. Tenía muchas ganas de probar un aceite y este me ha gustado un montón.

The most curious product of the collection and also my favourite is this triphasic cuticle oil. You can observe in the bottle the three different oils, you will have to shake the bottle in order to apply it on your cuticles. The oil moisturizes, nourishes and reinforces our nails, they suggest you to apply it at nights or before doing a manicure. I normally use it when I notice that my cuticles and nails are a little bit dry, instatly I feel them softer and moisturized. A warning, maybe some of you want to drink the product because it smells... Super yummy! I fancied to try an oil for my cuticles and I liked this one a lot.

Por último en la línea tenemos este quita esmalte sin acetona en formato portátil y esta crema hidratante. El quita esmaltes exprés funciona de maravilla, es el típico que lleva la esponjita dentro y tenemos que introducir dedo a dedo y girarlo para borrar nuestra manicura. Tiene un formato ideal para llevarlo en el bolso para cualquier emergencia y me ha quitado sin problemas nail arts más complicados e incluso colores oscuros. La crema hidratante contiene ácido hialurónico, manteca de karité y tiene un olorcillo floral también super bueno. Se absorbe bastante rápido y deja las manos suaves e hidratadas. El formato es bastante cómodo también para llevarlo siempre encima.

En general es una colección que me ha gustado y que es necesaria pues hemos de mantener las manos y uñas bonitas primero desde la hidratación y el cuidado, después ya vendrá el esmaltado :). Normalmente las manos se me secan con más facilidad cuando empieza a venir algo de fresquete, pero usando estos productos no he notado diferencia, así que los recomiendo. Last but not least we have the nail-polish remover acetone free and the hand cream. The express polish-remover works amazing, it's the typical one with a sponge on the interior where we have to introduce a finger and then spin it around to erase our mani. It has a perfect format to throw it on our purse if we have any emergency, and I have to say that it removed away some more complicated nail designs and also dark colours. The hand cream has hyaluronic acid, shea butter and it has an amazing smell of flowers. It absorbs well, quickly enough and it leaves your hands instantly soft and moisturized. The format is also very usefull to carry around.

In general I liked the collection very much and it's necessary to have more products to keep our hands and nails well before we apply nail polish :). When the colder months arrive my hands usually start to dry a little, but using this products I didn't noticed any difference, so I recommend them a lot. Have you tried these products? How has started your week? Mine has started super cheerful because I spent a super funny weekend full of friends: saturday with my friends from Bloggers Barcelona and sunday with some of my lovely Nail Avengers. I couldn’t ask for better company! As you may have noticed on some new nail arts I’m getting into stamping, so today I’m gonna show you a design with a beautiful stamping plate.

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer una pegatina casera o “reverse stamping” de este elfito tan mono nada más lo vi, últimamente no paro de hacerlas porque con la super Uber Mat que me regaló mi chico por mi cumpleaños es super rápido y fácil hacerlas. Pero lo primerísimo de todo antes de dejarse las pegatinas hechas es hacer la base encima de la cual van a ir, en mi caso un degradado.

I wanted to do homemade stickers or reverse stamping of this cute elf as soon as I saw it, I can’t stop making reverse stamping since my boyfriend got me as a present for my birthday the Uber Mat, it’s super easy and quick to do them! But first of all, before doing the reverse stamping you have to create the base where they’re gonna be placed, in my case a gradient.

Para el degradado he usado “493 de la colección PZN” de Colour Alike y “Kind of white” también de Colour Alike, aplicados sobre una esponjita de maquillaje y dando suaves toques sobre una base blanca. Cómo véis he invertido los degradados en las uñas donde puse los estampados, así el elfo destacaba más y tenía un toque diferente. La plaquita usada es la DER-01 que me enviaron desde ELYT, tiene un diseño lleno de elementos relacionados con la costura y de estampados… ¡Mirad qué bonita esa bota con tantos diseños!

For the gradient I’ve used “493 PZN collection” from Colour Alike and “Kind of white” also from Colour Alike, I applied them over a make-up sponge and dabbed softly over the nail with a white base. Did you noticed I’ve reversed the gradients on the nails I’ve put the stamping? This way the elf stands out and the design was a little bit more dynamic. The stamping plate I used is called DER-01 and it was sent to me by ELYT, it has a sewing related design and also some patterns… Look how many designs has that beautiful boot!

Precisamente uno de los diseños de la bota es el que he escogido para acompañar al elfito, el de pata de gallo. Como quería colocarlo lo mejor posible en la uña también hice reverse stamping, pero no añadí ningún color. Por último en las dos uñas restantes decidí hacer unas costuras con un pincel bien finito y un esmalte negro :). Si os han gustado los esmaltes o la plaquita de estampación lo podéis encontrar todo en ELYT, también el esmalte negro que usé para estampar. Precisely one of the designs in the boot is the one I’ve choosen to make company to the little elf, the houndstooth. I also made a reverse stamping with this patter, but I didn’t fill it with colour, I only made it this way in order to place it right on my nails. Lastly I dediced to paint some seams on the two remaining nails with a very thin brush and black nail polish :). Tengo que confesaros una cosa: los vinilos para las uñas me cuestan. Sí, ya sé que he hecho varios diseños con ellos e incluso un par de tutoriales, pero no os podéis imaginar la cantidad de veces que repetí el proceso hasta que saliese como yo quería. No paraba de ver estos vinilos en forma de corazón, estrella, triángulo, etc que eran unas tiritas muy finas y muy delicadas por las redes sociales. Y además estaba segurísima que me iba a quedar un desastre, ya os podéis imaginar mi cara cuando empecé a hacer este nail art. Pero para saber cómo acabó la cosa, tenéis que seguir leyendo ;)

I have something to confess: I usually get troubled with nail vinyls. Yes, I know I did some designs and even a couple of tutorials with them but you can't imagine how many times I repeated the process until it looked decent enough. I couldn't stop seeing this heart, starts, triangle shaped vinils, the ones that are made with super thin lines, on the social media. And of course when I started doing this nail art I couldn't stop thinking that it was going to be a mess and a disaster, so imagine my face haha. But if you want to know how it ended you have to keep reading ;)
Would you stay?

Finalmente decidí coger estos vinilos en forma de corazón que me enviaron desde ELYT y a pesar de que pensaba que iba a ser un desastre total, he de deciros que me resultaron bastante fáciles de usar. Tienen sus truquitos, como todo, pero ahora os contaré un par de secretillos para que os resulte igual de fácil este tipo de vinilo.

Finally I chose these heart shaped vinyls that were sent to me by ELYT, and even though I thought it was going to be a mess they were pretty easy to use. They have their little tricks like everything, but I'm gonna tell you some advices in order to make them easy to use for you aswell.

El primer consejo que os quiero dar es a la hora de retirar el vinilo de la plantilla: tendremos que tirar de una punta del vinilo y lo más seguro es que se nos peguen los trocitos entre sí. Algo que yo hago para que vuelva a la forma del principio y después poder colocarlo correctamente en la uña es primero colocarlo en la mano y ajustarlo allí. Después con unas pinzas cojo la forma lateralmente y la coloco en la uña. Podéis colocarlo así lateralmente de golpe o, otro truco es colocar primero el centro del vinilo y poco a poco (siguiendo la forma) ir dejándolo caer sobre la uña.
Mi último truqui para este tipo de nail art es a la hora de retirar el vinilo, hay que intentar siempre dejar la punta de éste un poco sobresalida de la uña para después poder agarrarlo con las pinzas. Y sobretodo al retirarlo seguir la forma del vinilo nos ayuda mucho a que las líneas queden limpias :).

The first advice I'm gonna give to you is in order to remove the vinyl from the stencil: we will have to pull the vinyl from the tip and usually it gets messy and the different parts of the piece stick together. Something I do to help it to mantain its original shape is to stick it on the back of my hand and then correct the shape with the help of tweezers. Then I take the vinyl sideways with the tweezers and place it on the nail. You can place it sideways or another trick I can give to you is to place first the center of the vinyl and then carefully (following the shape) let it fall on the nail.
My last trick for this kind of nail art is for that time when you have to remove the vinyl, you have to remember to put the tip of the vinyl a little bit outside the nail in order to grab it more easily with the tweezers. And when you have to remove it, following the shape of the vinyl helps to leave clean lines :).

No podía acabar la entrada sin deciros los esmaltes que he usado para hacer este nail art. Para la base he usado dos capas de "Prestiogosa" de Masglo, un esmalte con glitters plateados y shimmer dorado que ya visteis con la colección Sideral. Tras colocar el vinilo puse en una esponja de maquillaje el esmalte rosa "Kapow!" de Color Club y el blanco "Kind of White" de Colour Alike e hice el degradado. Retiré el vinilo y sellé todo con mi top coat favorito Poshé. Podéis encontrar los dos esmaltes del degradado y los vinilos en ELYT, ya sabéis que tenéis un 10% de descuento usando mi código WICKEDFULLMOON.

I couldn't finish this post without telling you the nail polishes I've used to do this nail art. For the base I used two coats of "Prestiogosa" from Masglo, a beautiful polish with silver glitter and golden shimmer that you've already seen on the Sideral collection. Do you remember the heart shaped vinyls I’ve shown you on the weekend? Today I’m going to show you a nail art with some very similar vinyls but star shaped.

Para este nail art quería hacer algo bien brillante y claro, se me iluminaron los ojos cuando vi entre mi colección de esmaltes el Blue Heaven de Color Club, el magnífico holográfico que veis en la foto. Si no lo sabíais os cuento, los esmaltes holográficos son de mis favoritos a pesar de que no tengo demasiados. Por eso en cada ocasión que puedo los acabo usando para una cosa u otra, en este caso de base para todo el nail art.

For this nail art I wanted to do something super shinny and of course my eyes went directly to Blue Heaven from Color Club as soon as they saw it on my nail polish collection. If you don’t know anything about it, I’m gonna tell you: one of my favourite kinds of nail polishes are holographics, even though I don’t have lots of them. That’s the reason why I try to use them whenever I can, in this case I’ve used it for the base of the whole nail art

Primero utilicé los vinilos en forma de estrella en dos de mis uñas, si queréis saber algunos truquitos que uso a la hora de aplicar estos vinilos tan peculiares os los dejo aquí. Tras colocarlos en mis uñas usé el esmalte Suntuosa de la colección Sideral de Masglo encima, y sin dejar secar el esmalte retiré el vinilo con cuidado.

First of all, I used the star shaped vinyls on two of my nails, if you want to know some tricks that helped me using them I explain them to you here. After placing them on my nails I used Suntuosa of the Sideral collection from Masglo on top of the vinyl, and without letting the polish dry I removed the vinyl carefully

Esta vez no quería llenar mis uñas de estrellas ya que quería que el esmalte holográfico destacase lo suficiente, así que decidí añadirle un extra con unos brillantes (de más) negros en la uña del dedo anular. Los míos son de una rueda de brillantitos que compré hace bastante en Born Pretty Store, pero los podéis encontrar en varios sitios. Los coloqué en fila dando así un toque de atención y conjuntando con el esmalte negro de Masglo.

This time I didn’t want to fill my nails with stars because I wanted the holo polish to stand out. So I decided to add to the nail art some extra shine with black rhinestones, mine are from a wheel I bought from Born Pretty Store a long time ago but you can find them on several places. I placed them on a vertical line as an accent nail and it combines perfectly with the black polish from Masglo.

With today's nail art I want to talk to you about an initiative that I’m sure you had already seen on the social media. Some of you may already know Movember, but even if you know about it as well as you don’t, I invite you to keep reading a little bit more. And of course, I invite you to watch the nail art I did for it :)

Movember proviene de moustache (bigote en inglés) y november (noviembre en inglés xD) y se trata de una iniciativa que ya llevan haciendo bastantes años que pretende concienciar sobre temas relacionados con la salud del hombre, de entre ellos cáncer de próstata, salud mental o incluso la inactividad física. En 21 países, de entre ellos España, se hacen iniciativas y eventos para ayudar a organizaciones que quieren luchar contra estos problemas en la salud masculina, previniendo y ayudando a los que las sufren.

Movember comes from moustache and november, it’s an initiative that has been going on for several years now, and it’s about make aware the people about different themes of man heath, between them we can find: prostate cancer, mental health or even physic inactivity. This initiative is going on 21 countries nowadays and they do events and activities to help organisations that fight against those problems on male care, preventing and helping those who suffer them.

Una de las iniciativas que animan a los hombres a hacer es dejarse el bigote crecer durante todo el mes, por esto (además del nombre) es tan reconocido el bigote cuando hablamos de Movember. Creo que es algo que más o menos todos deberíamos de tener en mente, por eso he decidido usar estos nail wraps que me venían perfectos para la ocasión y hacer este nail art dedicado a Movember pero con un toque bien femenino.

One of the initiatives that they encourage to men to do is let their moustache grow during the whole month, for that (besides the name) is why the moustache is that recognised when we talk about Movember. I believe it is something important that we all should keep on mind. And that’s the reason why I chose to use this nail wraps that are perfect for the occasion and do this nail art for Movember with a girly touch.

Se trata de unos nail patch que podéis encontrar en la tienda online ELYT, seguro que os suenan ya que os enseñé estos de hámsters cuquis hace un tiempo. Estos se llaman “hombre con sombrero” y tienen una gama cromática muy nude, tirando a rosada con algunos toques de color más vibrantes. Lo primero que hice fue aplicar de base un esmalte nude, en mi caso escogí el 491 de la colección PZN de Colour Alike. Después con cuidado fui seleccionando los nail wraps que creí que se adaptarían mejor a la uña y los fui colocando. Se adaptan bastante bien si los colocas primero del centro y luego vas aplicando presión poco a poco por los laterales, el sobrante después se quita perfectamente con la limita que viene con los wraps. Además yo le suelo pasar un pulidor para que la punta quede más lisa ;). Como véis escogí dos hombres con sombrero, una uña de puntos de colores para darle un toque más alegre y un bigote en el pulgar, dejé una uña con el esmalte nude ya que pensé que quedaba original. They are a nail patch hat you can find on the online store ELYT, I’m sure they will ring a bell because I’ve shown you these cute hamsters nail patch a few months ago. These are called “man with hat” and they have a very pinkish nude tones on it and some details more colorful. The first thing I did was to apply two coats of a nude nail polish, in my case I chose 491 of the PZN collection from Colour Alike. After that I selected the nail wraps that I believed were apropiated for each nail and I started placing them. They adapt pretty well on the nails but it works better if you start on the center and then apply some pressure little by little on the sides. With a file you can remove the rest of the nail wrap on the tip, the pack comes with one, in addition of the file I usually use a buffer on the tip this way the wrap is smoother ;). As you can already see I chose two men with hats, one with colourful dots and a moustache on the thumb, I chose to leave one only with the nail polish. Today I’m here to talk to you about some piece of news. As you may already know I’m a swatcher for the online store ELYT. “Entre lazos y telas” is a nail art online store where you will find from nail polishes, until stamping plates or nail vinyls. What is the special thing about ELYT? You will find there some brands that are hard to find here in Spain as Color Club, Colour Alike, Models Own… And they have super competitive prices with international shipping. This month the store decided to sell three new nail polishes brands, from one of them are the polishes I’m going to show you today: Golden Rose.

A pesar de que ya había escuchado de esta marca y había visto algunos swatches y nail arts con ellos en instagram, es mi primer contacto directo con Golden Rose. Son esmaltes que están muy bien de precio y que tienen bastante variedad en sus gamas. En ELYT han traido dos diferentes, la Matte que podréis ver en su web y la que he podido probar yo Matte Satin. Como veréis a continuación son esmaltes que tienen un acabado satinado, entre el matte y el glossy y quedan preciosos. Además su brocha me pareció fantástica y ayuda a una aplicación perfecta en una sola capa. ¿Queréis ver los tonos? Yo pienso que son ideales para esta época así que vamos a ello.

Even though I’ve already heard about this brand and seen some swatches and nail arts using their nail polishes on instagram, it’s the first time I’ve ever tried Golden Rose. They’re nail polishes that have a very reasonable price and that have a pretty good variety on their polish range. On ELYT they decided to bring to us two different ones, the Matte that you can already see on their website and the one that I’ve been able to try the Matte Satin. As you are going to see right now they are nail polishes with a satin finish, between matte and glossy finish, and they look beautiful. In addition their brush is pretty amazing, it helps very much with a perfect application in only one coat. Would you like to see every shade? In my opinion they’re lovely for the season so, let’s go.

Como podéis ver ya en las fotos todos tienen acabado metalizado y satinado, ningún swatch tiene aplicado top coat, pero si se lo aplicásemos tendrían mucho más brillo y los destellos se verían aún más. Vamos a ver los cuatro primeros:

201: un rojo cálido y brillante precioso, a mi me recuerda muchísimo al a navidad y con una sola capa obtenemos el color que veis en la foto.
202: este me encanta, es un violeta muy azulado o un azul que tira muchísimo al violeta. Es un tono único, yo al menos no tengo ninguno parecido en mi colección y con el punto metalizado es precioso.
203: un verde jade muy oscuro y frío, a mi me parece super elegante con esos destellos entre verdes y azules.
204: otro rojo muy bonito, este es más rosado y algo más frío. No podría escoger uno de los dos porque me parecen ambos básicos haha.

As you can already see on the pictures all of them have metallic and satin finish, none of the swatches has a top coat applied, but if you wanted to apply one they would have more much shiny and you would appreciate more the shimmer. Let's see the first four polishes:

201: a warm and shiny red, it's beautiful and it reminds me a lot of christmas, with one coat we get the colour you see on the photo.
202: I love this one, it's a very blue purple or a very purple blue hahaha. It's shade is unique, I don't have any shade like this one on my collection and the metallic touch on this one it's amazing.
203: a very dark and cool jade green, in my opinion is super elegant with those blue and green little shimmers.
204: another very pretty red, this one is more pink and cooler. I couldn't choose between one of them because I consider the two of them basics haha.

Bonitos ¿verdad? Sigamos con los cuatro últimos que la verdad también son bastante especiales:

205: un azul cobalto super bonito, es de mis favoritos y es que me pierden los tonos en los que puedes imaginar noches estrelladas haha. Es algo más apagado que un azul cobalto y eso lo hace muy original.
206: azul super oscuro casi negro con shimmer azul que también me pierde por la misma razón que el anterior. Me parece además super elegante.
207: un tono entre oro viejo y oliva precioso, pensaba que me iba a gustar menos pero quedé fascinada en cuanto lo vi en las uñas. ¿No os parece único?
208: un verde muy especial, ¿no os parece?. Me recuerda mucho al camuflaje pero con un subtono más grisáceo.

Beautiful don't you think? Let's continue with the next four that are also pretty special:

205: a very pretty cobalt blue, one of my favourites. I love blues where you can imagine starry nights haha. It's a little more unsaturated than the real cobalt blue and it makes it original.
206: a very very dark blue almost black kind of shade, with a very light blue shimmer that I also love for the same reasons haha. It also looks super elegant.
207: a shade between antique gold and olive, it is beautiful. I didn't think I was going to like it until I put it on my nails.
208: a special green, don't you think? It reminds me of a camouflage green but with a grey hint.

Y esta es la foto conjunta de todos los tonos, a pesar de que en la botella pareciesen mas sosos en las uñas ganan muchísimo ¿verdad? :). A mi me han gustado un montón, su aplicación es facilísima, eso sí hay que ir con cuidado al arrastrar el esmalte porque puede dejar marcas al ser satinado. And with this picture you can see all the shades together, despite the fact that in the bottle they looked a little bit dull, on the nails they win a lot, right? :). I liked them a lot, their application is amazing but you have to be a little bit carefully dragging the polish beacuse it can leave marks. Yes at last, a new nail art! And one that is part of the section of the blog that I share with my boyfriend: Game & Nails, I know some of you like these nail arts as much as I do and it keeps me super motivated to keep doing them haha :). In this post we will talk about another classic videogame that I’m sure all of you who had Play Station will have played. Do you remember a funny and jumpy bandicoot who loves apples? :P

Hace ya casi 20 años desde que Crash Bandicoot inició su carrera en el mundo de los videojuegos: en el año 1996 protagonizó su primera aventura, un plataformas en 3D muy tropical. Esta fué desarrollada por Naughty Dog para la PSX y distribuida por Sony Entertainment System junto a Universal Interactive Studios. Naughty Dog siguió colaborando con las dos distribuidoras con tres entregas más, tras éstas Naughty Dog perdió los derechos y Vivendi Universal es quien se ha encargado de la saga hasta la actualidad.

El malvado doctor Neo Cortex tiene un plan infalible para conquistar el mundo, se ha propuesto crear un ejército de animales. Para ello usará el invento de su mano derecha, el doctor Nitrus Brio, y así evolucionar los animales de las tres islas de Australia que posee. Nada podía salir mal eligiendo a un bandicut como líder de su ejército, hasta que el Evolvo-ray falló y nuestro protagonista logró escapar dejando atrás a Tawna, la sexy bandicoot de la cual está perdidamente enamorado. Crash Bandicoot se embarcará en una inusual aventura para rescatar a su amada recorriendo las tres islas y venciendo a sus respectivos jefes.

The evil doctor Neo Cortex has an unstoppable plan in order to conquer the world, he is making an animal army. With the help of his assistant dr. Sinceramente, creo que mi Play Station dejó de funcionar de tanto jugar a esta saga de videojuegos, haha. Desde que supe de su existencia no he dejado de jugar: cuando era más niña con mi familia, mis primos y mi hermano, cuando ya no era tan niña en mis ratos libres. No puedo negar que he seguido jugando con mi chico hasta que mi consola decidió morir (y después jugamos con emulador porque lo necesitaba una vez más haha), y como os imaginareis tengo una cantidad enorme de recuerdos con este bandicut como protagonista así que por supuesto tenía que dedicarle un nail art.

Honestly, I think my Play Station died from over-playing this videogame saga hahaha. Since I knew the existence of this game I didn't stop playing: when I was a child with my family, cousins and brother, when I was growing up in my free time. I won't deny that I continued playing it with my boyfriend until the console decided to stop working (and after that we decided to play on a emulator because I needed it haha). And as you can already imagine I have lots of memories with this bandicoot as a main character so, of course I had to make a nail art about him.

Para este nail art decidí hacer un degradado usando dos tonos que representan muy bien los paisajes del juego: un tono tierra que es el Sand Tropez de Essie y un verde con un punto neón que es el Twiggie de Color Club. Encima pinté con acrílicos en el pulgar el nombre del juego (a veces no sé cómo me caben las letras haha), y en el resto de uñas decidí simular el paisaje menos en las dos centrales donde dibujé a nuestro protagonista Crash y a la máscara que nos acompaña y ayuda durante el juego: Aku Aku. En la última foto que es una macro podéis observar mejor todos los detalles. A pesar de no ser todo lo complejo que me habría gustado, creo que representa bien la esencia del juego y visto con el original queda bastante bien, ¿verdad? :P.

For this nail art I decided to do a gradient using the shades that in my opinion represent very well the landscapes of the game: a sand shade, I used Sand Tropez from Essie, and a green with a touch of neon, I used Twiggie from Color Club. On top of that I painted with acrylics, on the thumb the name of the game (sometimes I don't know how the tiny letters fit in one nail haha), and on the rest of the nails I tried to represent the landscape. In the two of the middle I've drawn Crash and the mask that helps us during the adventure: Aku Aku. The last picture is a macro where you will observe better the details of the nail art. Even though it was not as complex as I would like it to be, I think it represents quite well the game essence. It looks pretty with the original game, don't you think? :P
